Merry Merry
We managed to get a family picture this year.
It was no small effort, we waited till the last minute. It was at the end of a saturday, almost dark, snowing and freezing.
Lucky for us Jan & Jim were willing to help out. Grandma took the picture, standing under an umbrella - to keep the camera from getting soaked. While Grandpa held a reflector to diffuse the headlights we needed to make our picture light enough.
Ha ha, picturing it still makes me laugh.

Squaw Peak Road
You can see that Millie was on the verge of getting sick. Poor girl was treated for pneumonia. Nothing like a sick kid to help me realize how grateful I am for good health. I feel very blessed that our little family is healthy and happy.
My first time up Squaw Peak and the road was closed! Dang it. We had a fun time any way and walked up the road a bit to eat our favorite dinner from the Harmons deli. It's been such a beautiful fall here and I'm so grateful to be so close to the mountains. I'm also grateful for the best husband who makes taking us out into the wild a top priority. Thanks babe.

Summer in Iowa
Summer Fun
Last weekend we headed north to Backbone State Park for a little family fun.
Miss Millie is such a great big sister.
She is so fun and loves to entertain her baby brother. Peek-a -boo around this tree was very fun to watch.
Look how big my baby is!
He is growing way to quickly. His signing and dancing are the bes thingt on the planet.
Thanks for being such a fun baby, Alfie. Xo

Iowa
We are spending the summer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
I haven't spent much time in this region and it's interesting to see how different it is from home.
I miss Utah but welcome the change and look forward to the summer and 100% humidity?!
We ventured to a nearby park last weekend and snapped a few photos along the way.
Should mention that after this trip I will not be going to the park in jeans again. It's way to hot and humid to stand.

Crazy thing we call life
We have been back and forth between home and town a lot lately. It's been fun and makes me miss living in the valley. I love our cozy place here in the mountains but I'm tired of packing and unpacking our overnight bags. It seems endless. Alfie is growing up so fast and he's the sweetest baby on the planet. This past weekend he learned to say "Grandpa!" Millie is cracking me up with her latest obsessions. Snapchat is at the top of the list, her funny faces and videos have me laughing to tears daily. A few weeks ago she mentioned something about the iguanas. What? After a few minutes of questioning I realized she was talking about the Oscars! Thermometers are dominos and my humidifier is my kindle. I love when she mixes things up, it really makes me laugh so hard it's almost enough to pass as my daily workout.
